Our historyRothbury Home Bakery started life in 1982 as one shop with a bakery behind the shop. Subsequently, a van delivered bread to farms and houses in the remoter Northumberland valleys. Further shops were added and in 1989 the bakery moved to new separate premises to cater for our growing business. Although Rothbury Home Bakery does not now have its own retail shops, we do now supply over 250 outlets - shops, stores, hotels and restaurants - in the Northern Counties and Scottish Borders.
How to find usRothbury is 30 miles North West of Newcastle. Take the A1 north from Newcastle, left on the A697 at the northern end of the Morpeth bypass and left on the B6344 at Weldon Bridge up the Coquet valley to Rothbury. Rothbury Home Bakery is about 800 metres from the centre of Rothbury. Take the Hexham road over the River Coquet, and after about 400 metres turn left on to the Industrial Estate. Customer Testimonials“I just had to write to you to tell you how much I enjoy your Autumn Gold bread. I love it for a sandwich and also toasted - it's beautiful anyway. I have toast, butter and marmalade every morning. The crust goes to a crisp crunchy loveliness and the flavour of the seeds and nuts is absolutely divine.” Mr Terry Jennings “I have devoured with relish your pack of three muffins and now it's time for my slice of cherry cake. Much to my shame, I have now eaten the whole cake. Three Cheers for the Rothbury Home Bakery!” Mr Joe Gifford
